7card weak two bids Why not open 3

Notice alot of weak two bids by GIB with 7 card suits headed by AK
Seems to happen with GIB vs GIB, not when GIB is your partner, generally in majors havent seen diamond suit bid that way

I very much doubt that GIB changes its bidding style depending on whether its partner is another GIB or a human.

I've also noticed occasional weak 2's with 7-card suits, but not a lot, and haven't kept track to see if there's a pattern. Are they mostly unfavorable vulnerability?

cant remember for sure just in the last day have seen three of them
