From time to time I need to select some deals from the tournaments I played and combine them into one .lin file. I can of course select each deal in web version and save it to my favorites, but that's not always convenient. I also find it difficult to save any specific hand as .lin file. Is there a tool out there to streamline this and similar process?

Lin files are simple plain text files. You can open them with any word processor, or better yet notepad in windows. Add to them together and re-save them. Or delete hands you don't want to have. Be sure to save them as *.lin files not some default of the program you used like *.txt (under notepad).

If you are interested in the vugraph thing at the beginning of the file, adding hands to it is just a little trickier, but can be done in the text mode using notepad.

Thanks, Ben. I'm aware that .lin files are text files. I'm also aware that I can handle them with a bit of work. I was just wondering whether someone had a tool that can handle things without hassle. (In a way, we don't need the Hand Editor in web version, all can be done via notepad; but it is much easier with the editor.) Thanks anyway.

if it's just merging the files, you can quickly write a little program to do it for you.

Have you tried using the free Double Dummy solver from http://www.bridgecap...downloadDD.html. This can download your hands from BBO.
