Ignoring the inaccuracy of the 3C bid: why does North bid 3♠?

At another table:

3N=19-22HCP; 23+ total points? If this is a NT-shaped hand, it cannot be 19-21HCP, because it would have opened differently. Also, wouldn't GIB bid a 5-card major here, if he had one?

At a third table:
It seems to me that you shouldn't have to jump to 4N to get this hand description.

Note/Edit: I was hoping to show just the auction on the last two, to save both space and memory; of course, I wanted to copy from myhands and not have to hand-enter the whole thing, with explanations. "Fixing" the second one was more effort than it was worth, and there is apparently a very small allowance for comment, since both of those NT calls have longer explanations stored. Oh well...

Not constructive, pigpenz. And even worse when you take up all that room by copying the original post.

Uh, since I'm paying weekly for these robots, I'd expect regular improvements in the bidding. Otherwise I'd be rather motivated to just pay for a copy of Jack and not pay BBO to use the robots.

I don't really expect improvements to the defense/card play, since that's much harder, and the main brains behind GIB (Ginsberg) moved on to his "day job" company responsibilities long ago & doesn't seem like he will return to GIB anytime soon. But holes in the bidding database can/should be plugged.

Hilarious that bizarre bidding gets you to the best contract. 3C should be baron- bid four card suits up the line. You are only marginally interested in majors with South's hand.

Are you seriously calling 6NT "the best contract"?

I wonder if South#1 thought it was Stayman.

I've seen announcements of GIB updates every now and then, maybe every 3 months or so.

Some things do get fixed, but not everything.

Yes, every 3 months is about right. It appears that these were the last two updates:

A new version of GIB has been released... For the curious, we call this GIB version 17.

There were at least two references to an upcoming update after that, but I don't think there was ever an announcement that it was released:
