Spade 3, I don't see a good reason at any scoring to not lead my longest suit, especially when dummy is likely to be short (assuming 3NT isn't 5S, 4H).

I have good experiences with leading my 4 card suit when holding a 5-4. But there have been simulations/studies about this, and the conclusion was:
- leading the 4 card suit gets a better average number of tricks
- leading the 5 card suit defeats the contract more often
That's why at imps I'd lead a ♠, while at MP I'd lead a ♥.
