White vs Red, teams, you pick up this beauty:

K
932
AKJ7542
Q9

However, the dealer on your left opens 1, your partner overcalls 1 and RHO passes.

1-1-Pa-???

What would you bid?

Say it goes on:

1-1-Pa-1NT
Pa-2-Pa-???

What should your partner's 2 be? What would you bid then and there?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

What can it be ? Partner doesn't take my 1NT too seriously (looking at his void ) .
What can i do now lol. Is a 7 cards suit good enough to play it as the level 2?
I bid 2d. But have no clue if partner will pass.:D.

Pd did not open Mike, he overcalled your single suit probably he is void/stiff in your best suit which is also LHO's suit. I am really curious how are u planning to make 9 tricks in NT b4 they score 5 tricks even if i give Q and a fairly good hand to pd?

AQJxx xx Qx Jxxx, now this is hell of a 1 overcall but if u dont like it we can even exeggerate his hand to AQJxx KQxx Qx xx. I have a feeling he wont have Q most of the time, which will reduce your trick potential by a lot.

I dont even know why we all think our hand must bid something.

Wowwww
Btw i still have a 7 cards suit and a KING in my partner's suit and i rather prefer to go down -2 on any idiotic contract than lose a cold game if partner overcaled with good cards,
Or u are apart of the bidders who X having more than 14 hcps?
Is your 1 overcal limited to 12-13?
And what is the fun of playing 1 in 5-1 fit instead of 2 in 7-0 fit ?
I depreciated enough my hand with the 1NT bidding but lol to credit these 13 hcps with 0 values that's a bit funny.

I will take the middle road and bid 2N originally. I doubt I'll have many tough decisions after that.

- No i dont dbl with 14+, i actually overcall upto 18 if need to be.

- Bidding game is not appealing at all to me at these colors. Neither trying to convince my pd that we should play 2 and it is natural, even if the auction proceeds as u want it to proceed.

But you bid and make game, you win 5-6 imps, i dont feel strong about passing but i prefer pass to 3 NT on anyday with this hand.

Except that partner may expect a good 4 card raise... :D
