My wonderful GIB partner was the only one to hold himself to 12 tricks via a miraculous play of a heart to the Ace and a low one towards the jack. Go team!

As a side note, I think GIB has enough to move over a 4 cue from me... Or at least it thinks it should, after all it moved after a simple raise to 4 at another table:

Check out the description of 4; it includes "3D" which is kinda silly. So, 4 is a fragment, still searching for the correct strain, but 4 shows 6 hearts and 25+ points, saying "I can play game opposite a yarb with 2 hearts".

Heh wow, that seems really backwards, but thanks for the explanation. At least I know how to get GIB to go insane now :)

Your robot didn't lead a heart towards the jack, it was apparently trying to finesse the 7. But this means it was apparently playing for East to have misplayed by playing the 9 from Q94 on the earlier heart trick.

Maybe GIB doesn't look back like this, it just looks at the current state of the hand, so it can't make negative inferences. The missing hearts are the Q and 4, and it decided that East was likely to hold the Q because it opened.

This is kind of like when it doesn't repeat a finesse that worked earlier -- it doesn't use earlier plays to make inferences about future plays.
