Something clearly went wrong for E-W here -- Generally defending a 2 level redoubled contract when the opponents have a ten card trump fit and the balance of power is not a good idea.

Why did West pass- he has an easy 3♣ with great fit for partner's hand, Why did East double again- he has a minimum hand, if partner wants to double he can easily do it.
