Why ever bid 3NT natural over 2C destroy the bidding space for no gain?

dont ask me i was only looking at other peoples results I bid 2♦ waiting.....
what makes the the above even more weird this person who bid 3nt now bid 4nt over 4♥
Gib then bid 6♣ over 4nt which was doubled and then GIB settled into 6♠ finally
