I play in the robot tournaments because it's quick, no dawdling, but couldn't you program the robots to recognize a bid for a cheap sacrifice or to push the opps too high? Time after time, I've bid say, 5D over 4S by opps, and my previously passing robot partner goes to 6D! Hands they passed with twice should be quiet except in extremely rare circumstances.

Welcome to the forum, Eligel.
It would be helpful to the programmers if you could point them to a specific hand to illustrate the problem.

Sure, please tell me how to do that.
One way is search for your hand through
http://www.bridgebas...hands/index.php
and post a link like below to the hand you are referring to
There are probably more eloquent ways.

Unfortunately, not all hands are available in the myhands routine. (Robot Duplicate records are there, but Robot Race records are not, for example.) For hands that are not available in myhands, you can go to "Hands and results" in BBO, then "recent hands" to find the hand you want to post. (Of course, this only shows your 100 most recent hands.) Click on "export deal" then "handviewer link"; copy and paste the link you're given to the forum. Example: http://tinyurl.com/5vb3ojc
