This was reported in the BBO Today section, even after Rain said not to do that, so I'm re-reporting it here. I'm guessing this is the same double-and-correct problem we've always seen.

BBO's correction of takeout double is still very limited. A takeout double followed by a suit bid to show a strong one suiter is only recognized in sequences like 1x(opp) x(you) p(opp) a non jump bid (your partner)
p(opp) a new suit bid(you)
Anyway, BBO really should focus on fixing the old bugs. I don't think it's wise to program many new features with a lot of new bugs.

There are many doubles related problems already reported in forums and bug reports. This is the Takeout double, then rebid new suit problem that is often mentioned (ie not a new problem). I'm just posting today to let you know we do know doubles in general remain problematic, and this seems to be the most frequently talked about problem (maybe because it is used so much.)
The problem with doubles (apart from inherent judgement issues) is the way GIB defines bids and meanings (too long and technical, especially since I don't understand it very well, sorry).
We've done 3 major robot upgrades this year. The first one included a number of double fixes, but we know there's a lot more to do.

It is timely that this takeout double problem is brought up today. This takeout double (and follow up sequence) is a main focus for the coming upgrade.
