Two items........... FIRST.

If one is logged in and doing nothing,a friend arrives
up comes the square with Greet etc and this is with
the lists of friends.............

But if one is playing a tourney or a game, and you are declarer
in 6 hts x,you are in dummy and lead a card, and something occurs
unexpectedly.that now needs a little rethink, and friends arrive
or enemies so where does it arrive the square {Greet}
amongst the bidding sequence, that you want to or was just re
consulting...very distracting..CAN THE SQUARE BE PLACED ON THE
LEFT HAND SIDE TOP OF LAYOUT....betweenboard NO and Norths name
SECOND.
Print facility Icon...this only appears Bottom line,if one has
finnished a tourney, and one is looking at results.
lo and behold we have a print Icon-super,WHY CAN THIS ICON
BE PERMANENT,also have discovered if an opp or partner is rude
with comments.and you summon TD,when he arrives he cannot
see the onoxious comments made.thus one could have an instant print out
if it was there

If I recall, notifications can be turned off in the Windows version. That is about the best you can do.

You don't need the print button to take a screenshot, unless you intend to snail mail rude comments to BBO Abuse (I hope not).

The Windows version is not going to change, but the Web client does not add pictures to the screen when someone logs on, for example.

I haven't used the Windows version in a while, but I'm pretty sure it allows you to set an option that login notifications go in the chat area instead of a pop-up. And that's how the web client works all the time.
