Just in case there are others, my partner and I are looking for team mates for the Pinot Noir Compact KO's 8:45am Wednesday and Thursday morning.
Hey mycroft, I'll say hi if I can pick you out from the other TD's

But I do wish I could go -- I think I'm gonna try to come next year.

Are you allowed to drink wine during this event? seems like it should be the reward for having to start at 8.45am.

8:45am game time is perfect, I am an early riser and who can sleep when they are at tournaments anyway?
I am probably foolishly playing 3 x a day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I have to leave after the morning
game on Friday so I thought I should get my games in and hope, think it won't be a problem.

early riser is one thing, 8.45 on a weekend is another. Is it any wonder it's hard to get young people into the game? Weekends are for sleeping in!
Start times like this are killer for people who live in the general area (1-2hr commute) and don't want to stay at the tournament hotel. Getting up at 7 am to get to a 10 am start time was never my idea of a fun way to spend the weekend. I can't imagine having to be on-site at 8.45.

I think you would be happy with the schedule, they seem to have done what they can to keep everyone happy. The main events are 1pm and 7pm. For the early risers they have 8:45am single session and compact KO's, to keep the rest happy they have put on 10:45pm ZIP KO's, last year they had midnight KO's.
