But while we're at it. Could BBO please arrange that all players on vugraph play the same system. That would make it easier for the public to understand and the commentators comment?

I wish that original posters would choose the forum they post their drivel in more carefully; ensuring that their content matches the intent of the forum. Wouldn't it be more enjoyable if one could read general bridge discussion and not have to read about vugraph issues?

Well, I think twice now, when I have asked how serious the admins were about the Terms of Service and such, they have assured me that they do seriously intend to move posts around when they obviously belong in another forum, then demonstratively moved exactly one thread started by me to another forum, and thereafter never done it again.

You just need to ask nicely. Moved. :)

mrdct are you saying that all people who speak English all have the same religion, eat the same food, wear the same clothes, have the same culture and play the same brand of bridge?

... or even speak the same language (even if they call it "English")

There are organizers who specifically ask for certain commentators to be appointed for their transmissions.Even when i tried, for a Romanian event, to suggest someone else, they insisted on their own list. I am sure this is happening very often.

As for the language barrier i think it's an exaggeration to put such emphasis on language instead of the content. Given that they are usually top players, it might be worth to stop a minute to decipher what they are saying, even if it's not in flawless English.

Not being an expert, I would very much like some explanations as what certain bids mean, especially the esoteric ones. Not being fluent in other than English, French and German, it would be nice to have the commentaries in both the local language and English. I think that could be called serving the public in general, not just the local public. :)

NICE and ty for removing the puke vitriol about foreigners and the languages they speak or don't speak. :) Much appreciated!
