I am new to BBO and this has probably been brought up many times before.

I feel that when only card is left in the suit and it is lead, that it should be
automatically played to help speed up play. Would this not be an easy software mod?
For what reason has it not been done already?

I am generally happy with software, but have had problems claiming with less than all the trick.

Go into options>more options>advanced and select autoplay singletons.

I believe Roger is suggesting that this should not be optional; it should be the only way. I agree.

This has been discussed on multiple occasions. The problem is say declarer had to play AKJTx vs xxxx for no losers, plays the ace and RHO plays lightning quick, it becomes pretty obvious where the Q is..

Singletons are no longer autoplayed lightning quick; there is a random delay, so that it is not obvious.

My interpretation of the OP is that he didn't even know about the option.

I suspect that even though they added the random delay, they still didn't feel that users would appreciate it being forced on them.

I agree with that statement, but I still think the request was for it to be mandatory, not optional, as he is more concerned about his opponents' dallying than about his own need to click.

What would actually be a good option would be for it to auto-play against robots only, not against humans.

That shouldn't be an option, that should be the only setting. ;)

Ah, forgot that some are still using the legacy system... Maybe this would encourage more people to migrate instead of having their holdings exposed :P

How about putting a time limit on the play of singletons, like somewhere from 10-15 seconds?

How about just "trick 13 is autoplayed"?

Autoplay at trick 13 would negate any chance for an undo of trick 12 after a misclick. (Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing after some of the undo's I have seen)
