This reminds me of NBC's dilemma: Back in the old days, they moved Frasier to head-to-head competition with the Tim Allen show I think. (Don't quote me on this, can't remember the title of the show). This was in either season 1 or 2, the cast were frantic, didn't think they had a chance against the established favourite. But Frasier became *the* show, till the rise of those ------- friends who lifted a lot of their ideas from frasier anyway.
But back to bbo vs ebridge...
I favour not rescheduling the BBO ACBL tourneys.
1)Since both sites conduct so many tourneys, conflicts are bound to happen anyway...
2)What happens after the ebridgers finish their 1 year subscription to ebridge? Brand names take time to establish and seep into the awareness of consumers. If there's a conflict in scheduling ebridgers may just sit up and take note, and they may choose ebridge now (since they've already paid for it), but when its time to renew subscription they'll then remember that they had a choice elsewhere...
I'm sure others can think of more reasons for or against rescheduling this tourney. Ultimately the decision lies with ACBL TDs anyway, right? :>
