Are you using BBO Windows or BBO Web (Flash) ?
I think I can help if you are using Windows, I don't think it is possible if you are using Web.

Without trying to upstage jilly (apologies if I have Jilly
Assuming you have your Tourney Rules and Hand LIN files saved to your Computer
Set up a Tourney then after it has set up and comes up with the message TOURNEY 123456 set-up. Then you now find said Tourney and open then click on Table on Bottom Row of your Screen
This will now open up the Tourney Screen and display the Tournament Management box
In a White Oblong Box near the bottom you should see a lot of Options in your case you click on 'Upload Pre-set Hands for Tourney' now find your LIN file and open it
Next click on 'Upload Conditions of Contest' same again find your file and open
Now you have done
Hope this is Clear

mmmm by create a LIN file do you mean turn Hands you have set up into a LIN file: or do you merely wish to create normal Random Hands for use
For the former contact CASCADE he knows how to convert to LIN files.
If the later you merely go into BBO set up a 'Teaching' table and hide it then click on MOVIE on bottom row in there click on NEW Bottom right then put a name in box so you can remember then put dot in RANDOM start board 1 finish board how many you require eg 12 then click on SAVE on bottom row give it a namee and where on your computer you want to keep them
Easy as that really

I now understand why the new flash browser BBO system does not use tournament rules. But many of the directors like the windows version best to direct from which does show each tournament rules if posted.

You have to give it a name that you can recognize, i suppose... and then make sure you upload the right .lin file. It sounds like you accidentally uploaded a hand instead of the rules you prepared.

Are there any plans to allow BBO Flash users to upload or read tournament rules?

text to lin converter
2. In the upper box, click and paste your tourney rules.
3. Click the CONVERT button
4. A text will appear in the lower box. Click inside that box, select all text (use CTRL+A) and copy it (CTRL+C)
5. Open a Notepad document. Paste the converted text in it.
6. Save it with the extension .lin (for example coldturkey.lin)
Then, create a tourney, click the green TABLE button, click on "Upload conditions of contest"
Test it, by clicking the Rules button.
Just re-checked all this and it works fine.

Not sure which if not both mistakes did the fix.
First mistake, deleting the first line in the top box which said "enter or past text ......
Second Mistake, tried the texpad editor which did work.
Can not THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE HELP AND HAVING SUCH GREAT PATIENCE with me!
