Bridge Bingo - Posted wrong link, so to best of my memory

Since partner is a passed hand, why should my 3 show extras? Luckily I didn't need it, but early on it looked like this was yet another blown square I wouldn't get because of GIB.

EDIT - What is it with people and snooty comments? AQ108 looks like a 7 HCP suit easily, and change the 10 to a J and then it is worth 15. And I would STILL get a bad result because GIB forced with the North hand...

I guess the fact that you overcalled 1NT with a 3343 14count wouldn't have had anything to do with the bad result, if there had been one.

A new suit after a Jacoby transfer is game forcing -- a passed hand can still force to game when their partner bids a strong NT.

GIB plays fast arrival, so when you're in a GF auction and you bid 3 instead of 4, you're showing a better hand.
