The GIB can be fast when I declare, and very fast when the GIB Partner declares, and not TOO slow when the GIB RHO (GIB E) declares but I've never seen a trick take less than about ten seconds any time a GIB LHO (GIB W) declares (even on the 13th trick!). It always has to take about ten seconds to decide which card to play from hand to summy every trick, even on Trick Thirteen! So, I know it takes about ten to fifteen seconds per trick (which adds up to at least two to three minutes for the hand, on the play part alone), when defending against the LHO.

The Play could take as little as 30 to 45 seconds if the GIB Partner declarers, but at least three to four minutes if the GIB LHO declares. I wonder why GIB W is always so much slower than GIB N? Is this some kind of glitch? My server?

Also, knowing that GIB W is the slowest player, if you knew you had to defend, would it be better if GIB E declares (not sure how this effects strategy)?
