I didn't play hearts three times. Only two: 1. duck, 2. heart ace for club discard. The heart jack will remain in dummy as threat card.

I think you guys really need to READ the problem again. It's opposite ANY distribution in the minors, so if you don't take A at trick 1 you're already wrong since RHO can get a ruff in his possible minor-void.

It is some squeeze, the problem is how you manage to get the cards right. And how you would deal with an early play in if you give away a , since that will probably destroy your squeeze chances if you can't get back to your J.

I also wonder why Ben didn't try this one yet, I thought squeezes were his favorite part of the game...

Well, while there may be a solution that is 100%, at table I wouldn't bother to go further than the guard squeeze ;)

You play 6, and West leads K. You can make this contract however the minors are distributed. How do you play?
(you can assume West also has Q)

ace of , ruff a,2 times(spades need to bee 2-2),king of, to ace, jack of,pich last , west must return or u have 12 tricks, now !D to king ruff a if 33- u are home or else 3 to dummys 7 and !D finness .

are we there soon??

Draw trump, duck a , win the only dangerous switch in dummy, K and the rest of the trumps leading to the same position paulhar described, except now you have A to enter dummy instead of K

I don't think so... to find out that LHO has four clubs, haven't you taken the entry to the thread away from North? Play it and see, and if I'm wrong, let me know the order of your plays.
I tend to lead fourth best - as opposed to the best suit, the second best suit, or the third best suit for our side

Well done Fluffy :) This is the endposition:

On the last trump, you discard J (if West discards Q your J is your 12th trick), and you play a to the Ace. Next you'll know if you can continue 9, play A or finesse in :)

Forgive me if this is just dumb, but what happens if you win A, ruff a heart high, play 2 rounds of trump (need to assume 2-2 break), then play a diamond to the king, ruff a heart, and play a low club.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy - but it might improve my bridge.

You said it yourself: you need to asume trumps will be 2-2, which will be not even close to a 100% line...
Also, asume West has the s and East has the s, then you won't be able to avoid 2 losers. Both opps can easily discard their s, and there's no thread for any squeeze anymore. I think that line needs Q onside, or Q with the -length to be successfull.

I'm not a master in percentages, but I think you're around the 20%.

Actually, I thought the contstraints of the problem were such that the line had to be 100% on any distribution of the minors. I was under the impression this did not apply to major suit dist.

You can say what you want, but the distributions in the Majors are dependent of the distributions in the minors... If LHO has 7 s, he just can't have more than 6 s for example.

But ok, next time I have such problem, I'll mention the "however any suit is distributed, except East has at least 1 " :P

I win trick 1, draw 4 rounds of trumps discarding low Diamond and then duck a club.

I ruff East's Heart return, or win a minor suit return in dummy (unless given a free finesse in D by West).

Ruff a Heart back to hand (if in dummy) and lead last trump discarding HJ assuming that HQ has not yet appeared. Next test the Clubs, and cash DK. Assuming that the Clubs are not yet good I have a feeling that the position in Diamonds is exposed.
