When a friend signs off, their login name would turn to red. It now changes color when i can talk to them privately or when I am playing with them, it's a different color. But when they have left - I chat to them and a message comes up that it will go to their mailbox. I wouldn't have chatted if their color was red and I knew they were offline. Is there a way I can change this? Thanks.

One of the major differences between the Windows client and the web client is that the Windows client constantly tracks status of all players. It wasn't just friends that would change to red when they signed off, it was anyone in your chat log. But all this updating puts a tremendous burden on the servers, so they removed it in the web client.

What I'd like is for it to ask if I want to send the message to their mailbox or just punt. Often the message in question is just something like "bye" after we've finished playing a tourney, and it's silly to send these messages.
