Holding KQx Ax Txxx A9xx GIB responds:
1h-2c;
2h-3d????
3h?-4h??;
5c.

Reaching a fairly ridiculous 4-2 fit. It needs to bid the normal 2nt in priority to 3d on this sequence.

3h shows "twice rebiddable hearts", probably shouldn't on this auction since opener can be stuck? And 4h should probably be 2+ hearts not 1+ IMO avoiding the 5c pull?

The general bidding design of gib puts too much attention into stopper and gib just hates NT. A better logic for 2NT rebid should be "let's bid 2NT when we don't have support in opener's suit, don't have side suit below 2NT and don't have shortness in unbid suits."

GIB also has trouble as opener bidding 2NT after a 2/1 response. Even if it has controls in the side suits, it almost always rebids its 5-card suit.

When did the G in GIB start standing for Mrs. Guggenheim?

The main problem here is the awful 2 response. 3NT is far superior.

3NT is 10x worse that 2. Space consuming bid that is a mis-description too, awesome.

GiB needs to learn Txxx is often as good a stopper as Jxxx.

I think GIB plays that 1M-3NT shows 4333 shape, so it's anti-systemic to bid it on these cards (not that that ever stops GIB). It's also a good way to miss a minor suit slam.
