LHO is a student and RHO is Mike Capp Jr. Early in a 6 board swiss teams. You could not have splintered the round before, as it would have been fit-showing. Would you have made a fit-showing 3♠ call instead? Anyway, now you're here, whether you like it or not. What now?

I would have made a fit showing 3♠ if I had it available. I think we are good enough to force to game opposite a 1♥ opener. If we have the agreement that 3♦ means a pass is forcing, I'd now pass. If not I'm torn and probably bid a reluctant 5♥.

would partner's pass over 4♦ be forcing?

my first instict is to make a forcing pass now, but if I am not sure if it is forcing or not I bid 5♥

I would've made a fit jump since it describes my hand better.

Now I guess we're in a forcing pass situation so I'll pass.

Seems like a no-brainer 5♥. Actually... it's closer to 6 than pass :)
