Is it possible to easily identify who plays with a profile? Any profile? I've spent a lot of effort trying to find out what system someone plays .... often they don't speak my language and don't respond to the question. I hate leaving a table because there's no idea what system someone plays and others probably feel the same way. Thanks.

If you mouse over a name the profile is displayed.
If you are trying to find out what system your partner plays don't hesitate to do this via chat to table. Everyone should understand that this is pickup game protocol. It helps to have your own profile filled in. Then you can just ask: "Is my profile OK?".

If someone I partner does not post a profile I tend to assume BBO standard. I cannot remember any significant misunderstandings arising from such an assumption, and if I did have one I doubt that the space provided in the profile would have avoided it.

In web version you have to click on somebody name to see profile. It is a bit stressfull and annoying when trying to pickup new partner for a tournament. You have to click everywhere...

There is an option where you just need to mouse over to see a profile.
Go to your options (at the top, near My BBO)
Then Advanced options
This is a personal choice thing. I would vastly prefer to selectively see profiles, rather than have them popping up all over just because I moused over it.

I find that, at least on my network, the delay in the mouse over pop-up is such that it may well be faster to see a profile via clicking. Could be just me, or my distance from the BBO servers.
