How to list a new player as friend before you see him online?

I need to mark a person who is rarely online, as friend. How do I do that?

At the bottom of your "Who's Online" screen, there is a search function. Search for his name, and you can view his profile and mark him as a friend.

There will be a box at the bottom to add anyone you want.

Client version:

Options- Friends
Again there will be a box (near the top IIRC) to add them.
