No comment on these really, seems like EW undercompeted on 16 though!

3 seems pretty good to me on board 16; probably better than 3. Of course, the competing pairs bid to the same spot so it won't matter.

We had a chance on 15, if I had followed through with my original intention to raise spades on the second round. I chickened out when Tim raised to 4H, because 4S now would be a slam-try and I didn't think we had five-level security.

Ref. challenges outstanding: it is hard to imagine 37MP worth of changes, so I urge you not to spend a lot of time/effort on revising scores. Congrats to Phantom/Han, who were clearly superior to us. /TLG

Well, after careful examination, i am ready to say who made the most mistakes on this set...... me!

I apologize for the errors in typing in auctions, hands, and most especially estimating the scoring. With current corrections, their lead has been cut about in half. Not sure if there is that many more corrections, so you are probably right.

So do we have a winner?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Sounds like the Phantom and MrGoodwin think so. I'm hoping for some clarification from Ben.

Then, it would be nice to talk about how we continue. Assuming we won, will we then be challenged by some other pair? Perhaps it would be fun if people like mikeh, phil, cascade or franceshinden, who did not join yet, would compete. It would be interesting to see them bid the hands. Another option is elianna-awm, who had to drop out due to scheduling problems. Another thought was that hrothgar and free might like to join for real now, it would be interesting to read about the moscito auctions in more detail.

Anyway, lots of options. What are your ideas Ben?
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I'm convinced too. I'm disappointed that the final was not much of a contest. But, I thoroughly enjoyed the contest as a whole and join in congratulating Han and Justin on their convincing victory.

Sorry, I thought we realized that we have a winner, and I have been in Orlando at the nationals. The winner was Jlall and han. They should realize as they got a small reward from BBO as champions for winning.

Let's begin thinking about how we select pairs to challenge the champs.
