A mouseover on 3NT here shows 25-27, which was selected by 3 people, and was passed out by GIB. One person elected to bid 2NT, showing 22-24, and GIB jumped to 6NT. What happened here?

The usual garbage progamming behind GIB. Lots of simulations but poor logic.

Why does 2C-2D-3NT show 25-27? That's what opening 3NT shows (GIB doesn't play Gambling 3NT), so shouldn't this sequence show a stronger hand?
