Around here it was Windows 1.03 and you had to buy a mouse and connect it to your computer to use it.
This was a big deal because: "Real experts don't need mice..."
What was the first version you used?

i remeber using it circa 1985 in school, there was a room with some cray computers.
but i think you had to type windows at the command prompt to start it, so you could get several windows.
i also do remember using postscript language to print out of a laser printer
funny thing is i have veyr vague recollection of using postscript, ie no trnsfer knowledge to use html or latex.

I can use a computer just fine without a mouse.
The first version of Windows I ever used was 3.0. The last version of Windows which was installed on a computer belonging to me was Windows 2000.

I remember thinking, "A mouse would be great if I had three arms." That was a long time ago.

But then more and more Windows 95 stuff came out and we switched to that. Meanwhile, my dad's company PC was an Apple Macintosh.
