There was a fair bit of bizarreness here, but at this vulnerability at IMPs, isn't West's second double a little bit out there?

Does GIB actually take form of scoring into account in its decisions?

Uday's explanation in the "Replying to GIB plays 6NT-1 when 12 tricks from top" thread says that GIB played that hand differently based on form of scoring, although it's not clear that this also happens during the auction.
