Bidding 3NT when partner shows a distributional hand and you probably have a double fit is usually not recommended.

(1) I think 2♥ is also incredibly bad.

(2) I think GIB bids 3nt because it thinks 2♥ only promises 4 hearts. I think Capp 2♥ promises 5 hearts, or at least ought to. I don't think allowing it on 4 is really at all playable.

If 2♥ can be 4 cd hearts, 3nt really isn't that bad, it could be the only making game opposite something like x Qxxx KQxxx xxx

I'd be more wondering what N is doing in the play lol. Seems clear to play on clubs and hope you can somehow establish the clubs in time. If time runs out (likely) then you can always just cash out for -1.

And yes, 2♥ is an awful bid vul.

Why did GIB play South's ♥Q and 10 under North's A and K? GIB seems to be doing stuff like that a lot lately.

The defense was also weird -- why did it play West's ♠Q and 10 on East's J and 9? Both sides seemed to be deliberately blocking their long suits.

The spades play is not so bad if you assume partner has two spades and therefore you have no chance of actually running the spades is zero and you just want to play from your side if declarer ducks- of course declarer with 3 spades is illogical to duck any spade rounds. Of course the fault was chasetb overcalling vulnerable 2H with that trash.

Change the description of the 2H bid to 5+H and include a point range - then add a "wtf are you doing partner" message that it displays whenever someone overcalls a strong NT on a 3-count [or equally silly actions]?

Of course if we add that, every human will also want one to tell GIB off
