Isn't a 1246 9 count a little much to be making "Weak" raise?

It's a pretty soft 9, with Qx and Kxxx.

Looks to me like you got to the best contract, since 2NT is at best 50% (I think you need ♦A on side), and is down against best defense with the actual lie.

I wasn't complaining about the result, we're probably still playing in 3C over an inverted raise. 3C making was a bottom when the other table (was only 2 tables) bid 3N and made it.

I agree, I'd probably make an inverted raise myself. And in this case, 3NT is a lucky make because a ♠ lead is normal and the ♦A is on side.
