1S-1NT (forcing)
2D-2S (not quite enough for invite, and 2d might have been a 3-card suit)
2N-3H (2NT shows opening NT strength, and by inference 4 diamonds, since he didn't open 1NT ---3H is accepting the invite, while checking for 3-5 fit).
Opener then proceeds to 3NT.
2D-2S (not quite enough for invite, and 2d might have been a 3-card suit)

1 ♠ 1 NT
2 ♦ 3 ♦
If this hand is not strong enough to support partners second suit, which hand is?
(If you play a style where 2 ♦ can be based on a 3 card suit, partner will bid 3 Nt and I will be fine with that.)
1 ♠ 1 NT
2♠ 3 ♠ is enough for me. Partner did not promised extra strength.

Hi,
#1 2H showes a 6 carder, espesially if 2D promises a 4 card suit,
some may disagee, but at least with a doublton in spade,
they would not bid 2H.
2H also showes a rather weak hand.
#2 Without add. agreement, your best bid is 3D, showing support and
inv. values, you risk missing a 5-3 heart fit, but the risk is low.
#3 If you have discussed it, 3H showes 5 hearts and 4 diamonds with
inv. values, a fit jump.
Being limited, jumping around is only sensible, if you have discovered
a fit, and the fit is with partner last bid suit.
#4 If p bids 2S, bidding 3S is the best you can do, this is even than the case,
if 2S does not promise a 6 carder, but most play, that 2S in this seq. shows 6.
With kind regards

This, if I have to start the auction with 1♠. The alternative of 1NT works better for this particular hand and won't be too surprised if some start with 1♠ and rebid 2NT.

Scoring: IMP
In an uncontested auction, the bidding goes:
Partner opens 1♠. I bid 1N. Partner rebids 2♦. I rebid 2♥.
Post hand, we both agree that my rebid was poor. Partner suggests I bid 3♦ whilst I think my rebid should have been 3♥.
What should my rebid have been?
Also, if partner had rebid 2♠, should I have rebid 3♠ or 4♠?

Whether you play forcing 1NT response has significant impact on your rebids. Do you or do you not?
