North is the dealer (vulnerable against not). The contract is 3MT bu South after an auction of:

N E S W
1D 1S 3NT all pass

N, E, and West are robots.

The lead is the 3 Spades (from 743).

Dummy (N) has:

K10
108
AK832
AJ65

The 10 is played and East holding

QJ852
AJ4
Q4
Q103

plays the two!

There is never any lie of the spades where allowing the ten to be a trick and giving declarer a tempo is the correct play.

This is palooka level of defense.

Surely the computer can do better.

Ari, fixing this issue will probably eliminate a whole class of defensive errors made by GIB.
