Did you read the description of 3NT? By an unpassed hand I think it shows a game forcing 4333 hand. With a small doubleton you should correct to 4♠.

if it didnt change recently, 3nt by unpassed hand shows spade support and balanced hand in gib's system. opener may pass or bid 4♠ or whatever.

If he promises 3 spades, you should probably bid 4♠.

If he promises 3- spades, that means 0-3 spades. This should be changed. If the system promises 0-3 spades (in practice probably always 2-3 and maybe sometimes 1), then you can't do anything and we should ask Ari Greenberg nicely to change it.

GIB is like Chthonic, it never admits it's wrong. But unlike Chthonic, it never directly insults humans. It just sits there, silently feeling superior.
