You are West, and hold

72, AT32, KQ3, Q532

Opps are vul and RHO opens with 3D which gets passed out.

You decide to lead the 7 and see

Scoring: IMP

You lead 7. Contract 3

Declarer plays the J from dummy, partner wins the Q, declarer playing the T. Partner shifts to the J. Declarer wins the K in hand and plays the 7.

How will you defend?

(As usual, Adv/+ please don't spoil it too early).

Win the A and play the second spade. I think our only hope is to play declarer for 2-1-7-3 distribution.

Partner's switch to clubs was correct because he did not know which of South or West held the K.

Agree. If south is trying to throw a club on a heart, I can't see how we can stop him. If he's trying to throw a spade on a heart, we can stop him.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

Correct. This is one of the many hands where just counting our and declarer's tricks leads you to the right defense.
