Hi all,

Posted in the BIL forum because I don't think the question is deep, but I'd still like to see what everyone thinks the "right" answer is.

1♣ -- (2♥) -- 2♠ -- (3♥)
dbl -- (pass) -- 3♠

(1) forcing or non-forcing?
(2) if forcing, does it set the suit?

IMO 2♠ is virtually game forcing as with a lesser hand a negative X was available and not used so 3♠ to me shows a 6th card or possibly longer but is still forcing

Assuming the double was not for penalties and therefore showed something extra and 2♠ was forcing then on general principles both partners have shown extra values and we are in a game force.
