Scoring: IMP

P 1 1 2
2 P P 3
P P 3 ?

Do you agree with the bidding so far (and if not, how would you bid it)? Do you bid again? Does either answer differ with vul/scoring?

Pass now, I've done enough.

I would've bid 2 at first turn, then 3 over 2. I think it's important to show a major suit fit right away in case the opponents raise more aggressively, and 2 sounds like a stronger hand (in fact I think the given sequence of 2...3 should be forcing).

Q1) no but then I play 2 is forcing and you have left your meaning unspecified I would just call 3 at my first turn assuming 5 card majors
Q2) over 2 I call 3 if I haven't already shown the values for this otherwise I pass
Q3) over 3 I believe partner has become the captain

Not sure I like my previous bids, but given my wimpish defensive valies and pard's silence, opps seem to have game on, so PASS.

2C followed by 3H is insane. Definitely pass now, you have SIX high card points!

I would have bid 3C weak at the first turn if possible. Had I bid 2C at the first turn, I would have rebid 3C the second time.

Your hand is not worth a lot in support of hearts because partner will not be able to do much with the club suit. If you want to show heart support, you should bid 2 over 1, then you can bid 3 next time if you get the chance as Adam suggested. Otherwise just bid your club suit and forget about hearts as Justin suggested.

But you have to choose one or the other. Definitely do not bid again. I would sit for partner's double though it could be -730.

I'd be too scared to do that. Partner thinks we have a 2335 or 1345 10-count.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

ok, it looks like I overbid this one. I guessed as much based on the 4-digit negative result.

2 and then 3 will give partner a better picture of your hand in two bids.

How often do you think you'll get to bid 2H and then 3C? Partner will still have no idea that there is this much disparity, it's not like he'll pass it with stiff K or something.

The earlier bidding may be questionable but I sure know what to do now!

Everytime it comes back to me at 2.

I am not sure how often that is.

Nevertheless it is surely a better description of this hand than 2 first which overstates the values and usually understates the club length. At least 2 followed by 3 if available shows long clubs and three hearts whereas the order shown shows only four clubs and three hearts maybe not even four clubs for some.

Curiously playing negative free bids we often bid our six card suit first in this sort of auction and hope to show the three card support later. This seems to work out in that style.
