Bidding proceeds-- 2cl!--p--3cl?--p
3sp--p--4cl --p

5sp - p--7sp --p
3cl shows a suit.

[Maybe win the heart ace and ruff a club instead.]

Play for 3-2 in the blacks. I would have opened 1 planning to jump shift in diamonds. Your partner has a tough decision over 3; tough not to bid 4 even with the spade fit. 4 seems normal now that we've headed down this road. The rest of it seems very wrong but 7 was reasonable.

Sorry -- lost in space here. I'd ruff a club at trick 2 and play for 3-2 blacks; .

Rodney---my pard set his own problem by bidding 3cl-however.
to open 1sp,partner may well pass, and then one is reliant on oppps coming in.

at the same time agree the cl suit interesting.play club and ruff.depends on a even spade split.try another way
