Scoring: IMP

1N-2
2-3N

LHO leads the 2 (4th best), the 8 winning in dummy.

You lead 2 rounds of diamonds, RHO winning the 2nd and playing back a . You win the A.

What now?

5 diamonds, 3 clubs and a heart will do. So all I need is an entry to dummy.

Cash the Q, which should always hold, then lead low to the 9. This only loses to ATx and ATxx on your right.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

And 10x and 10xx and Axxx, and Axx if lefty is bright enough to play the 10.

By the way, against opponents less good then you are you will often be able to guess who has the heart ace after the queen holds.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

What if RHO has Tx or Txx, or if LHO has Tx?

If LHO holds 10xx he can put in the 10 when you lead low to dummy. Now what would you do?

If you are going to finesse the 10 it's much better to do it immediately than to play the Q first, since it would be much harder for LHO to insert the 10 then.
