I voted that I'm not a lurker. Draw your own conclusions.

Then again, the quality of my reading is hardly better than my posting.

I voted that I am a lurker. I mostly visit the forums when I'm at work and I will typically just do a quick scan of what's being talked about. I generally do not take the time to post. For further proof consider my number of posts and the fact that I've been visiting the forums for a few years now.

But your genuine, fully committed lurker will read the forums as a guest and won't be able to vote.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

If anyone as a really serious use for the numer of guest lurkers , uday might be able to provide some sort of insight.

As I write this there have been 16 persons looking at the forums in the last 15 mins. 8 of which were members and 1 of which was an annonymous member - the other 7 were guests.

I'm a lurker. I feel I have learned a huge amount from reading posts, but I don't have a lot to contribute. I do admire people like Jillybean who ask the kind of questions I'm afraid to ask.

I read a lot more than I write, both because it take a lot more time to say intelligible things and because I frequently find my opinion has already been more than adequately represented by the time I get to a thread.

Hey, thanks! Being the small fry in this pool of sharks and ferocious tuna fish isn't always easy but I have learned such a lot from many helpful, wonderful forum members.

Now that I have regular, live, partners I think I am becoming more of a lurker here
but I still can't resist posting the occasional hand.

I used to post a lot more, basically everything that came in my mind, but that changed when the atmosphere on the forums became hostile. I still post too much to be called a lurker though. :)

Post more! If uncertain about the reception your question will get, post in the B/I forum - most of the sharks are relatively well mannered when posting there - we all had to start somewhere.
