I noticed there are not too many players in these, even though they are sponsored with prizes. Perhaps it would be more attractive if they were shorter? What do you think?

Speaking only for myself..... I've never seen a tournament that was improved by making it shorter.

I know others like the 6- and 8-board joke events, but not me.

While I agree with Siegmund, Gerben is probably right. I don't think I've ever seen more than about a half dozen people registered for the 18 board tourneys, and they're frequently empty.
