Four of the ten tables got to slam. Their auctions were:
1♥-3♥-4♥-6♥. Yes, limit raise on 3♥ and 17HCP.
1♥-6♥
twice: 1♥-4NT-5♦-5NT-6♥. Yes, all A and K but didn't ask for Q.
At another table, the auction was:
1♥-2♣-2♥-4♥
4♥ is explained as 3+H; biddable clubs; 14-16 total points
My auction was 1♥-2♣-2♥-3♥-4♥.
a) 2♥ is explained as 5+♥; 11-21HCP. I presume that some hands fitting that description bid 2NT or 3NT. Why doesn't this hand rebid NT?
b) 3♥ is explained as Support; possibly a strong hand; 3+H. Given the explanation of 4♥ above, why isn't 3♥=17+ instead of "possibly strong"?
c) Was there something I could have done to investigate slam without blasting opposite a potentially mimimum partner?
