This morning I'm kibbing and see a player named "Whiz" kibitzing. Whiz was the username of Dick Freeman who died a few years ago.

I think BBO should 'retire' the names of famous or notable players that pass on.

i disagree because this players accomplishments were likely not acheived online, and after all, whiz was not even his given name.

but even if it were i think it is a touching tribute for players to name themselves after the bridge greats

on the web version, you can call upt the following profiles

goren
mollo
branco
belladona

garozzo seems to own his own screen name

Phil--- perhaps "Whiz" is a new player, and was not aware, a polite tactfull note would have sufficed.------I have not met anyone who calls himself the list you have supplied either- Relax im sure no offence was trying to be made

When I kibitzed Freeman, he was playing with the nickname "quiz" at BBO. Maybe he was using both.
