Is there really anything close to Sergeant Pepper?

Abbey Road ldo
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I had to actually review all the contents on wiki. Was really only familiar with Abbey Road in album format.

Was close between Abbey Road and Magical Mystery Tour, but the nod went to the latter.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

3. Sgt Pepper
4. Magical Mystery Tour

I was going to do my top 3 but 3 & 4 were a tossup.

As for me, I like Rubber Soul. This is where they stopped being just another band from England. The arrangements are really nice.

Other top ones are: Revolver, Abbey Road and Magical Mystery Tour

Head Scratchers:

Sgt. Pepper's. The critics choice, I know. I think most of the songs sound like advertising jingles. Except for "A day in the life", whats so great about it?

The White Album. This was the only Beatles album I had in high school since it was recommended by a friend. A lot of screaming and the songs weren't that good.

Despite my agreement about rubber soul, I don't really think there are really any bad beatles albums.

Sgt pepper's has to be thought of as a show, not as an album of tracks, and in that respect it makes a fantastic show. But if more classical arrangements are your thing, then how can you ignore lucy in the sky or with a little help from my friends. As for the white album, I have plenty of sympathy for someone who doesn't find revolution #9 to be a masterpiece, but did you forget about blackbird, while my guitar gently weeps, sexy sadie, and numerous others?

I've said it before, I'll say it again, and everyone can laugh at me like they always do. I'm a year older and I still do not see what is such a big deal about the beatles!

I also was sure Winston would be the first one to reply to that. Oh my gosh I have misunderstood something from the 60s, stupid kid! At least I know why Vietnam was a big deal?

The only reason I laughed was to reenforce your self-perceived prognosticating abilities - because it was your birthday recently.

Happy birthday, dude.

I think the B-side medley on Abbey Road is their best work by far. I also think Sgt. Pepper is hugely overrated, but I always liked the pop music they made more than the other stuff.
