Scoring: MP

(2♦!)-P-(2♥!)-3NT
(p)-??

RHO opens 2♦ Multi. You pass (??).
LHO bids 2♥ (Wants to play 2♥ if his partner has a weak 2♥. Probably he has not many Hearts).
Your partner bids 3NT (to play).
What do you bid now?
(We didn't have agreements about this, but probably partner follow the expert meaning)

Partner has, I think, one of two hands.

One is pure power: a balanced hand that he doesn't want to show via double then NT....if we had some agreements as to the range shown by, say, double then 2/3N, that would maybe help us here. But in the absence of agreements, I'd expect a hand on the order of a 2N opener...say 20-21 hcp.

Opposite that kind of holding, we surely have slam interest, and some might argue slam force.

The other is a running suit with side stoppers. The suit will usually be a minor, but that doesn't seem possible here. Could he have, say, AKQJxx(x) in spades and side cards? Our heart holding suggests not: for him to have a heart stopper means rho opened 1st seat red on a Jack high suit.

So I think he has the power holding, and that rho's suit is spades (not that it matters). I want to be in slam if he has a lot of Aces and Kings, but not otherwise, so I bid 4N, and think that I am being conservative.

4N has the added advantage that even if I have misread his hand type, I hold enough that 4N will be safe. It may be too low but if he is looking at 8-9 controls, he will know I am looking at quacks and thus must have a good, quacky hand.

4NT seems normal.
I don't know what kind of defense you play against multi, in the one I prefer I could dbl (t/o assuming spades).

4NT seems pretty normal, partner will have to suggests minors himself.

I think Mike's description of the hand with a long minor jumping to 3N is way too strict. If you have AKTxxx(x) of a minor, stoppers in the majors, and a hand too strong to bid 3m, then usually you just bid 3N. Doubling and bidding 3N is dangerous as partner might pull to his 5-card suit. Doubling and bidding 3m might not be possible (if your suit is clubs and partner bids 2N Lebensohl, or if the opponents bid higher), and doesn't describe our hand well either.
Anyway, I think I am worth 5N, pick-a-slam.

Agree with 5N.

Plus, looking at my minors, I think its really doubtful pard has a single suited minor, though some kind of 'hybrid' hand with a 6 bagger and 20-ish seems quite possible.

I don't know how to intelligently investigate since they have taken away my cuebid, so I'll just bid what I think I can make - or what pard can make.

Yeah 5NT seems right. I'm definitely forcing to slam!

perhaps you need to agree on some basic continuations after 3NT: for example what would 4♦ by me show? ♦s? ♥s?
If you decide to play 4♣ stayman (or Baron) + transfers , then you have 4♠ available for showing both minors.
Or you can play a 4♣ "asking" (balanced min or max, or based on long minor), than you can use that.

After a 3NT opener (or 2D-(p)-2H-(p)-3NT) we play baron and 4S for the minors, but I don't know if that should apply here.

I did bid 4NT (quantitative), but my partner said that I had too much for that and that 5NT (choose) is better. We did end in 6♣ anyway.

(I'm not sure about partners hand, I know he missed ♦A or ♦K, he had around 20 pts, still had ♥KJ.. when he claimed and took the Spade lead with ♠A)

This is difficult because you have no cue available and 6/7m (not NT) is a possible outcome.

I would not bid 4NT because that seems like an underbid (pard has some 19-21).

I would not bid 5NT because I don't have a CLEAR agreement as to what it means.

So that leaves either a flyer at 6♦or 6NT. Since 6♦ is a guess w.r.t. level and fit, I'd just try 6NT. hey it's matchpoints too.
