Partner open 3 and your RHO pass. What is your plan? (partner is a sane player who may only preempt wild when NV).

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

I don't see a lot of risk vs reward at imps in bidding 3 forcing as we play super disciplined pre-empts in 2nd seat but 1st seat on these colours is a close second.

If pard can bid 3 or on Q 3rd, I'm in for a risky 3nt.

I'll pass if 4 if that is all they can do and expect to make it.

If they raise diamonds, I'm probably a favorite for 3nt but will have to struggle in 5 instead, sigh.

Meanwhile, x, xx, Qxxx, AQTxxx gets you to slam if pard splinters over 3

3NT has no reasonable chance - either partner has almost-solid clubs but no entry, or an entry but a big enough hole in clubs that I need two. If you gave me another king I would raise to 5C, and with another queen seriously consider it.

3NT won't work, the only game that has a chance is 5. I think I'd just pass since 5 is a lot!

3 for me. I hope it's natural. I hope partner won't automatically signoff with something like AKJTxxx and out. I am bidding 5 after positive response from him and 5 if he shows supp.
I think passing is reasonable but game will make just too often opposite vulnerable preempts I am used to.

yeah, a balancing double passed around to you, not that it would make me very happy :) but the opponents won't like dummy at least.

Even KQJTxxx may not be enough for 5.

Would you condemn pard for opening 3 on any seven bagger headed by 2 of the top 3 at these colors? I wouldn't.

So I pass - in Tempo.

No but he will also open x xx Qxx AQJxxxx for example (I think).
Opposite KQJTxxx and out I want to be in game.

I'd probably have bid 5, but I see the point people are making.

Worth a shot if you have 1 club, though?
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.
