a difficult bidding problem don't know what to bid

I'd bid 3♠ and 4♠ respectively on the two hands with four-card support.

But anyway, the normal action on a hand with extras but only 3-card support is to cuebid. So I would bid 2♥ on the first hand and 3♥ on the second.
