GIB seems to have a problem with the diamond suit.

Numerous times GIB will open 1 diamond and I will respond 2 clubs. GIB then bids 2 diamonds. Holding 4 diamonds I will then support diamonds only to land in a high level diamond contract when GIB started with only 3 diamonds. One time GIB bid diamonds 3 times with 3.

Just now, the opponent opened a diamond, GIB bid 2 clubs, this was followed by 2 diamonds. I then made the mistake of bidding 3 diamonds which was passed out.

It helps to give an example hand. If you don't know, then I'll tell you how if you use the Flash player (web browser version). First, click on the "My Results" tab on the right. Next, click on the hand in question. After this, look at the bottom, and click on "options". Move your mouse over "Export deal", and then quickly move your mouse over "Handviewer link". It might take a few tries, so don't get frustrated. Click on it, and copy and paste the link in a post like this. If you want an example of a constructive post that will get responses, look at mine: http://forums.bridge...showtopic=39369

"Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself."

"One advantage of bad bidding is that you get practice at playing atrocious contracts."

I think gib system has problems in 1d-2c sequence.
I don't know if this is changed recently but anything other than 2d shows 14+hcp.
