I attended the recent Medford Regional and we used the BridgemateII machines which are nice and most people are happy with them once they use them for a few hands.
But my wonderful surprise came the next morning at breakfast when I went to the District 20 website with my iPad to look at the results (which are posted late every night). The usual winners were there posted from ACBLscore, but now the travelers at the bottom include the actual hands, the players names, the actual contracts played and result, and the matchpoints.
What an enhancement to tournament play. Also, kudos to the D20 webmaster for posting the results every night.

Yeah this is great. We have gen 1 bridgemates in Poland but all those are available in tournament websites as well.

Laguna Woods is trying them out, which many seniors whose computer skills are lacking in the first place are struggling with.
Dana Point doesn't want Bridgemates, because "the directors don't have enough to do with duplicated boards" although I've at suggested the hand records be put online after the game.

We've been getting these locally for the past month or so and a number of club games (and for the past year or so at one director's game). I certainly like that a lot.
Eventually, we'll get the bidding and play too I hope.
