Teams, all red:

♠J9x
♥x
♦AQxxx
♣AJxx

1♦-Pa-1♥-3♠
Pa-4♠-X-Pa
???

P bidding 4n over 4s looks WAYYYYYYY too much like blackwood for hearts----
the x here (with obviously short spades) must be for offensive purposes. I have
a very reasonable hand and would bid 5c IF I had more power I would bid 4N (dont try to convince me 4n is a guess to play when i could pass for penalty) or (that i am suddenly good enough to start a blackwood sequence) to show minors and power.

4NT doesn't look like blackwood for hearts to me and I'm guessing 99% of the forums. Also, 0% of the forums plays
1d-p-1h-3s
p-4s-x-p
4nt

as 'a guess to play'. I think you are wrong about these forums' tendencies.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

1. Do you agree with the first Pass?
2. What would you do now?
3.

4. How would your answer change in other vulnerabilities?

1] yes
2] If we have a game I cannot see where it is consequently I go for the plus score and pass

4] IMO too many variables to change response

The vulnerability was wrong. We were red and they were white. Does that change any of your answers?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

To save Csaba, Victors, Roger etc. from reanswering - no it does not change their answer. (Nor mine.)

1D-(p)-1H-(3S)
P-(4S)-??

What is the difference between DBL and 4NT? DBL is a singleton and 4NT a void (or is 4NT more specific?)

I already said so, if opps are not vul I wouldn't pull the double as I don't expect partner to have void any more.

but with this vul I think partner should bid 4NT

but also note how easylly partner can raise to 6 clubs if we pull the double on the actual hand pinpointing our heart shortness given his spade void and out licklley 2/3 cards there.
