So the tourney starts with the opps bidding 2h
you have

aqxx
xx
ak
kqxxx

you are playing lebensohl, and holding 4 sapdes is quite a reasonable thing to double

the second opps bids 4 heart

partner now holds 5 diamonds, 3 spades, 4 clubs and one heart

and makes the asinine 5 diamond bid

i say asinine because this is a partner who can bid a responsive double, we miss 5 clubs game and now we score -1700 doubled

this is the first board!!!

i dont want to play anymore

morale is gone

but i guess partner now decides to make Roid Bids in the second board to make up for it

we miss 6 diamonds because he insists on playinh 4 hearts opposite my void

i have 7 solid diamonds, he has 3 but no, it is a man thing

the question is not about bidding but, what can i do to instantly forget the Roid bids and move on?

women make roid bids too

i suppose i can stop playing with them, but then, better the devil you know than to play with a bbo expert sight unseen

i keep thinking if i could do something mechanical, to bury the hand, maybe punch a puppy named partner.

i quit playing with one of the roids before, he comes to me tells me he is serious, we can have fun

third hand in the game it goes

1diamond by opp- pass-1 sapde by the other opp- 2 clubs by partner----- on an on till the opps bid some game

i have some hopeful tenaces, i make a mud lead

THE DUMMY HAS THE AKQ of clubs, on which declarer dumps his losers and my tenaces turn to dust

well i put him on probation again, still need to get a puppet

Hi:

You pass if partner doubles 4H. Suits are often not breaking well.

A double of 4H shows cards. It does not promise club support.

I notice that you only had 2 diamonds for your double, so you cannot
expect partner to 'promise' club support with his double at a much higher level.

If you went for 1,700, suits were not breaking well.

If you play with random partners, you should expect a bunch of lemons on bbo.

Free partners are often worth exactly what you pay for them.

Both men and women make silly bids here.

Regards,
Robert

Just makes sure you get a puppet, not a puppy!

These aren't the roids you're looking for.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.
